Virtual High Street for Town

26 Sep

Shops in Caldicot, Monmouthshire are setting up their own virtual high street to allow local people to order items online and then get them delivered at a convenient time.

This all sounds well and good and might drag these local shops into the 21st century but are they deluded? Can these 11 shops compete with the might of say Tesco or Asda, I don’t think so. Even though many people dislike these massive supermarket chains, you have to admit they are a godsend in late at night or even in the early hours of the morning if you need something there and then.

Can these shops produce this kind of service? I think not.

Wow just noticed that my OPML blog has a Google Page Rank of 4. Which is quite impressive.

Why is it so hard to write copy? I’m in the middle of writing some copy for a website that is to be launched soon, and it is so hard to do.

So the BBC are getting rid of Grandstand. To be honest for a long time now there’s been nothing worth watching on it apart from Six Nations rugby.

Why the hell would you want to be underwater for 7 days. David Blaine plans to do this in an 8ft high water filled sphere more on the BBC News website. It’s all beacuse of the Magic shazam.
