Still on my own in work. Things have calmed down quite a bit though. Managing to get everything done. Which is good.

So what does the new yeat hold for me. At the moment i’m running the show at work. My boss has gone to Florida for 3 weeks so i’m on my own trying to balance our customers calls and get everything done. I was a little nervous on the first day on my own but those nerves have gone and i’m quite enjoying it now.

Happy New Year to everyone, it’s a bit late but i’ve been rushed off my feet the last week.

Whilst doing some research on why one of our customers servers was failing to run ntbackup. I happened to find that the largest dile that the NTFS filesystem can handle a max file size of 1 exabyte. Which is in language I can understand is 1 Billionn Gigabytes.

At the moment i’m sitting in the office of quite a new customer who’s network we are checking for the first time. After looking at their backup procedure we found that even though they have 2 external usb drives, which they swap every week, the task hasn’t run on their server which is nearly 18 months old. How can the person who set it up not have checked it.

After losing our jobs last week the person I used to work with and myself have decided to start up our own web design company. We already have our first customer which is awesome. The only thing is, is that we need a company name. This is the hardest thing we have had to do. Anyone got any suggestions.
